Learning to RESET

My life was full of to-do lists, meetings, demands for my time, scheduled calls and a packed diary. I was busy with projects, travelling for work, and constantly trying to manage my email. Every time I’d find an hour to get on top of things, I’d be back to where I was three days later.

In short, I was yearning for a slower life.

But also a simpler life.

Less stress, less feeling like life was dragging me along, and more space and time to breathe, and enjoy life.

I began exploring ways to live that lifestyle, without becoming a monk (although that very much appeals to me and, full disclosure, I’d explored that, too).

That’s when I developed RESET.

Most of us don’t need more change. We need the tools to meet it.

2025 will I think be always know as my annus horribilis (which does, somewhat unfortunately, sound like something a chemist would suggest a strong cream for), but is Latin for “a year of disaster or misfortune”.

It may also be forever known as a year of true enlightenment for me. I pressed reset on my life, sold almost everything I owned, and began to rebuild my life, realigning to my values. Put simply like that, without the stress, tears, and despair, it sounds quite charming, doesn’t it?

That’s why I created RESET: a framework and philosophy, and now fast becoming a global movement for reinvention. I honestly cannot believe how many people are now using this and how many of my former business clients have adopted it.

I’m delighted.

There comes a moment when the old story stops serving us. A moment when we sense a question rising beneath the surface.

What if I asked different questions?

What if I said yes to the unknown?

What if I pressed RESET?

REFLECT

Pause and assess what’s working and what’s not. Stillness gives us space to see, think, and feel before we act.

EVALUATE

Question assumptions and challenge old patterns. Growth demands we let go of ego and embrace learning, feedback and imperfection.

SIMPLIFY

Focus on what really matters. Clarity drives impact and it is when our values and purpose align that we see great results.

EXPERIMENT

Curiosity fuels progress, so act, learn, and iterate. Build momentum through doing, not thinking.

THRIVE

Embed new habits and perspective for lasting change. I chose the wolf to represent this stage of the RESET because of the ancient Cherokee story:
